We're looking for a talented Junior Web Tester / QA with at least a year of commercial Web Testing / QA experience, for an award-winning digital agency in central Bristol. They've got a very well established team and build cutting-edge systems for global brands. They've got a brilliant Head of Testing and small-ish, but perfectly formed testing team and all fo their testing processes are in place, so this is a great opportunity for somebody looking for the next step in their web testing career. They offer excellent personal development and their offices are newly refurbished creating a great, open plan environment for people to collaborate and do great work. You'll join a team that will continue to grow, so you should find plenty of room for progression. 

The experience we need.

  • Demonstrable experience of testing a wide range of websites, with sound understanding of test processes
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Brilliant analytical skills and knowledge of test-case creation techniques
  • Excellent visual awareness and attention to detail
  • Good understanding of content management systems (CMS) or similar multi-user workflow based systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Awareness of software development lifecycle methodologies including Agile. and waterfall would be a bonus
Things like the following would be a real bonus but are not essential and can be taught on the job - experience of testing CMS based applications, ISTQB certified to Foundation Level or greater, or experience of automated testing using Selenium or Selenium WebDriver.


The role.


Reporting directly to the Head of Testing, you will be conducting testing on a wide range of websites and web apps. You’ll also work closely with designers, developers, creative directors, and account managers to deliver complex systems with the highest levels of quality, hence why good communication skills are essential.

A typical day will include most of the following:

  • Testing websites for functionality, accuracy and adherence to web standards and design.
  • Working closely with business analysts and software developers to help create functional specifications and define acceptance criteria
  • Getting involved in all testing phases from test preparation to test execution
  • Recording and reporting testing results to project teams
