You’ll have demonstrable experience of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes. With a strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns and best practices, you’ll be familiar with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
An understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git would be advantageous coupled with knowledge of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines.
As an Android Developer you will be sat within the wider digital and development team and will have huge scope to build on your experience, working on a wide variety of demanding mobile app projects. You'll ensure all developments are documented and meet high level design requirements. You’ll also report on development progress, liaise regularly with senior stakeholders and provide strong input into platform design.
