An inspirational not-for-profit organisation is looking for a life science graduate to work with scientists from the medical community on medical publications as a Publishing Assistant.  This is a rare opportunity for a life science graduate to start an exciting career outside of a lab.  The successful Publishing Assistant will get to work flexi-time hours and will receive regular, comprehensive training.

The experience we need.

  • A life science degree or higher is essential
  • Some commercial administration experience would be desirable.

The role.

As the successful science graduate, you will work with scientists, providing high-level administrative support to the publishing department. 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Project managing the publishing peer-review system to ensure that the process is running quickly and efficiently
  • Scheduling and submitting editors' contributions
  • Managing databases and systems
  • Attending meetings and conferences to assist with the marketing of your publishing portfolio.
